How TDG Works

The Titan Dogs Games currently consists of 4 sports: Dock Jumping (a.k.a. Dock Diving, Dog Diving); 40-Yard Dog Dash (a.k.a. Fast C.A.T.); Protection (a.k.a. Bite Work); and Detection (a.k.a. Scent Work, Nose Work). 40-Yard Dog Dash and Dock Jumping is provided by Ultimate Air Dogs. Protection and Detection is provided by Foundation First K9. We will be adding Tactical Agility in the future. For more on how each sport works, please see our event format explanations for Dock Jumping, 40-Yard Dog Dash, Protection, and Detection.

You and your dog will need to participate in at least 2 out of 4 Sports.

We created Titan Dog Games to be an event for all dogs, so each Sport has 3 Divisions: Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced. Your dog may be a Novice in 1 Sport and Advanced in another, and that's A-OK!

As far as kenneling your dog, you are encouraged to bring your own kennel, unless you are going to work out of your vehicle. We will have several canopy tents for competitors to share space for kennels. At Foundation First K9, there are kennels that can be rented: $45 per day for a kennel in the kennel building; $25 per day for a 10x10 outdoor turnout; $20 per day for an indoor crate... please use our Contact page to inquire about rentals - space is limited. Please bring doggy waste bags, food, treats, water, bowls, towels, blankets, toys, an emergency medical kit and/or anything else necessary for your dog's comfort and care while at the event. NOTE: WE DO NOT PROVIDE TOYS. We will have Canopies set up and you may share that space to kennel your dogs and get out of the sun. You are welcome to bring family members, chairs, coolers, non-alcoholic beverages, food and anything else necessary for your family's comfort and care while at the event. We will have breaks for lunch and there are several fast food restaurants in the area.

YES!!! Top 3 dogs in each division (of each sport) will receive an award at the end of that sport, after we've tabulated the scores. Aside from the individual sport awards, we will also be giving the top 5 dogs with the highest points (at each scheduled event), Titan Dog Games trophies... The top dog with the highest points will be named Titan Dog for that event. 4 runner-ups will also be named... But to accumulate the points you need to be in the running for these coveted trophies, you and your dog must compete in all 4 sports!

For each sport that your dog competes in, we take your best score and award you points... IF YOU ARE IN THE TOP 10. The point scale is 1-10 for Novice, and 21-30 for Intermediate, and 41-50 for Advanced. So for example in Dock Jumping, if your dog jumps 16'5" and there is only 1 other dog that jumped further than your dog in the Intermediate division, you would receive 29 points. Throughout the event, we will be updating the points page so you can see where you stand.

The Dock Jumping portion of this event is sanctioned by ASCA, and FYI, your dog DOES NOT need to be an Austrailian Shepherd to be registered with ASCA to earn Dock Jumping titles! Please see the FAQ on the ASCA site for more info. At this time there are no ASCA Reporting Fees. We do plan to have titles for all Sports within TDG in the near future.

Dock Jumping will be held at the Wilcox Dog Ranch and the 40-Yard Dog Dash will be held right down the street from the pool; Protection and Detection will be held at Foundation First K9. The 2 locations are 11 miles away from eachother. The addresses are on the event registration pages, as well as links to hotel info from BringFido.com

Open Dock Thursday is for experienced dogs only... this means dogs who have jumped from the dock, into the pool. Open dock is $20 per dog from 12pm - 5pm. NO NEW DOGS or DOGS THAT HAVE ONLY JUMPED INTO THE POOL VIA THE RAMP. Dogs will take 2 turns and then jump back in line. Jump your face off as many times as your schedule allows! New dogs and dogs that have only jumped from the ramp should come to the Clinic on Friday from 9am - 11am. $40 per dog where we will give you a lesson by Milt Wilcox, and we will try our best to get your dog off the dock! This will be a group lesson that starts at 9am sharp! The clinic schedule on Friday will be Dock Jumping 9am-11am; Lunch Break 11am-12pm; 40-Yard Dog Dash 12pm-2pm; Protection 2pm-4pm; Detection 4pm-6pm. NOTE: If you participate in a Friday clinic and then decide that you'd like to compete in a sport, you will be able to register for that sport (provided space is available)... please see Cathi Wilcox at the Friday clinic to inquire and Pre-Pay via PayPal.

Registration

Go to the Events tab and click Schedule, then scroll down to the date of the event that you would like to enter. Please note that we do have limits set on the amount of dogs that can register. Plus, YOU MAY ONLY REGISTER 2 DOGS PER HANDLER.

$40 Per Dog Per Discipline - in other words, if you participate in all 4 sports with 1 dog, the cost to compete for both Saturday and Sunday will cost you $160. Not bad for 4 different sports in 2 days... and LOTS OF FUN!!! ALL PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Once you hit "Submit" on the registration page, you will be redirected to our Payment gateway. Please do not fill out a registration form until you are ready to pay for your entries. If they are not paid for after registration, entries will be deleted.

Entries are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-deferrable, even if you are unable to participate. The only exception is in the case of a total event cancellation, in which all entry fees will be refunded minus credit card processing fees. If you need to cancel or make any changes to your registration, please, e-mail events@titandoggames.com within three (3) days prior to the event.

EVERYONE MUST HAVE A WAIVER ON FILE PRIOR TO THE EVENT. Everyone must download the waivers, sign them, and email them back to us. Instructions and files are here.
